Plato's Socrates talkie beta, post problems here.

Talkie version of this project is up.

It contains voice over for all the books and this is the reason it is around 1.7gb.

The voices were generated with tortoise-tts and with sample from LibriVox.

I asked in Librivox's forum for permission to use samples from their amazing work, but only one of those whom I got sample responded and said that he prefers to be unmentioned, so I followed his wish.

To do this version I wrote a very simple gui for TorToise-tts to generate the voices an easy, way.

I also wrote python scripts to keep the amount of letters around 205 so that tortoise will not have a problem and to have an option like autoplay.

It took me around a month to get through all the books and generate the voices and sadly one more month as I was trying to reach out the people whom I used their voice. This last month was very demotivating for me, and I almost abandoned the project. In fact, I stopped my proofreading cause the future of the project was uncertain.

So I took the decision to publish it in hope to get my motivation back, but this means that I haven't proofread all the books yet. In fact I am at republic book 3.

The project needs proofreading because sometimes the AI just shuts down in the middle of a sentence or starts repeating words.

In the up left corner the sound file name is displayed, so if anyone finds any problem, can report here with the file name and the book.

I think this will be the right place to do so.
